As with all new presidencies, there is a time of transition as one administration takes over the work of another. Apparently President Obama is having some tech issues.
Two years after launching the most technologically savvy presidential campaign in history, Obama officials ran smack into the constraints of the federal bureaucracy yesterday, encountering a jumble of disconnected phone lines, old computer software, and security regulations forbidding outside e-mail accounts…“It is kind of like going from an Xbox to an Atari,” Obama spokesman Bill Burton said of his new digs.
He really shouldn’t be complaining. I mean he did only help Obama win the presidency of the United States of a America…
Wait, I guess that means he can complain. Someone get this man an Xbox!

Retro-gaming Sheik at it’s best…and it’s functional! My wife wouldn’t want it in the living room, but in a family room or game room this is quite an appealing option. Especially when you consider that this coffee table is actually a trunk that can hold assorted videogame paraphernalia.
Oh, and did I mention that it’s a fully functional NES controller?!?! Check out Kyle Downes’ blog HERE to see the details including a video that shows it in action. For some reason I keep picturing those large chess boards where people have to carry the pieces around.

From the comments on Offworld:
This would be awesome in a hipster version of “Get Smart”. Pull the handle and head down a chute to the basement with the Wii and PBR.
DO WANT!
I had to jump on here and post this quickly. It’s a commercial for the upcoming Viva Pinata game. For those of you who aren’t in the know Viva Pinata is a strategy game in which you try to raise Pinata shaped animals and a garden for them to live in. It’s a fun game and the sequel looks to be just a s good as the original. If you’ve never seen any of the Halo 3 promotional videos you may want to watch this one first.
