Okey is a traditional tile-based game with long history and many variations. It’s highly popular in Turkey among Turkish people, played mainly in coffee houses by people in every age. It’s very similar to Rummy/Rummikub as it is played with the same set of boards and tiles but with different rules.
Realistic feeling, simple interface, and exciting gameplay!
Okey Game is played by four players with a set of 106 tiles, and 104 of them are numbered from 1 to 13 with four different colors. During the game, each player has 14 tiles on their board. On each turn, a player draws one tile and discards one tile. The goal of the game is to be first to form a board that consists of sets and runs using all 14 tiles. There are special tiles chosen in every game, called jokers, which help the player form his 14 tiles board of sets and runs by replacing the missing tile. The last two tiles from the 106-tile-set represented with stars are tricky ‘false jokers’, which against expectations, act as normal numbered tiles.

Quite good but some issues… opponents never go past a regular completion… never throwing joker to finish or go for doubles. Games take consistently too long. There should be wide variance, with a mean of bout 20 stones left. Too much in advertising possibilities…. Too intrusive… But overall Smith and entertaining. Cheers!

Each turn, the player draws a tile and discards a tile. The objective of the game is to create a table of seven and be the first to escape with 14 tiles. Each game has a special tile chosen, called a joker, which helps the player create a board of 14 sets of tiles and escape by replacing the missing tiles. The last two tiles of the 106-set tiles, represented by a star, are complex “false jokes” that, contrary to expectations, behave like normal numbered tiles.

Very good, but some problems…opponents can’t go beyond the normal finish…don’t throw a joker to finish or double. Games always take too long. There should be a wide distance, with an average of about 20 stones. Too many possible announcements…. Very distracting… But overall Smith is funny. Goodbye!
