Although you can’t upload old saves, the game plays now much the same as it did in 2012. The ads are completely optional, though it’s almost impossible to get the premium currency without them (you need it to buy new planes) Overall it’s exactly what I wanted from Pocket Planes. I’m disappointed that they fell for the trap of mobile ads, but since they’re optional, it’s fine. However, it always seems like half the airports are always empty, and I suspect that it’s to get me to pay for boosts
